USA Carpets Inc.
| Irregular CarpetMany carpet retailers throughout the United States have a difficult time competing with Dalton carpet Wholesalers. Not all Carpet Retailers work on the same profit margin or sell carpet by the truckload. A carpet retailer in Oregon cannot expect to negotiate carpet prices in the same manner as a carpet wholesaler located 6 blocks from the epicenter of carpet production (Dalton, GA). The staff at USA Carpets has been involved in the carpet Industry all of our lives. We worked in the carpet Mills while in High School; we loaded trucks and containers during our summer breaks. Our parents worked in the carpet industry all of their lives. We know carpet. We understand the costs involved in carpet manufacturing and we rarely overpay for a carpet style that we display in our showroom. Many retailers throughout the country have not been so fortunate. They sell much less carpet, and they must profit from every sale they make. When their customers contact us for carpet pricing and our wholesale carpet prices are 30-40% less than their retail price, the retailer often insists that the carpet we are selling is irregular quality. This is rarely the case. We rarely sell irregular quality merchandise and when we do it is typically to a Carpet Retailer in Oregon. Every product we sell is first quality and carries a full manufacturers warranty-just like the carpet in Oregon. If you order a specific style and color carpet from USA Carpets, it will be a first quality product unless you request that we search for irregular quality merchandise. It is very rare to find the exact carpet style and carpet color you are seeking in irregular quality (when you want it). However, irregular quality carpet can be an extreme value. Each roll must be individually inspected and you must have carpet knowledge to do this. Often, flaws are so minimal it requires several examinations to identify the flaw. In many cases, the flaw is simply an off-shade color match- a carpet that has been dyed that does not match showroom samples across the country. These flaws are referred to as "plunder", because most roll buyers never see the original showroom sample, so they are buying the roll color-not the sample color. In order to explain "irregular carpet" we have included (Below) a description of various flaws and how they appear. We rarely recommend an irregular quality carpet to a consumer unless they have the opportunity to visually inspect the merchandise. WE have numerous carpet retailers who buy irregular carpet over the phone, sight, unseen because we sell irregulars to them....regularly. While many carpets may have flaws, we ship only manufacturer-certified, first quality products to consumers. If a first quality product gets to Oregon with a flaw, the manufacturer pays to return the product. If a Dalton carpet Wholesaler ships an irregular quality product to Oregon (and represents it as first quality), the wholesaler pays to return the product. Shipping typically amounts to more than the profit earned, so very few wholesalers attempt this misleading practice. While your local retailer may insist that this is the only way a consumer can buy a product "that" cheap, they should try selling more carpet-for less. It works for USA Carpets. The following are a description of flaws in irregular carpet. This is by no means a complete listing.
