.During the early days of the carpet industry when chenille bedspreads were the primary industry in the Dalton area, our location was a hot spot for the tourist trade for travelers from Atlanta.  The Dixie Highway was a colorful menagerie of Peacocks and Dutchboy bedspreads hand- woven by local Dalton citizens.  These looped bedspreads eventually gave way to loop pile floor covering and the Carpet Industry boom in Dalton was born.
